Hi, I’m Apoorva Nagendran, the founder of Smart Paws Academy. As a certified dog trainer and a proud member of the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants (IAABC), I’m passionate about helping families create lasting bonds with their dogs. With years of experience and a deep understanding of canine behavior, I specialize in using positive, science-based training methods tailored to each dog’s unique needs. My mission is to empower pet parents with the tools and knowledge to raise happy, well-behaved companions.

Meet Jay, an invaluable part of the Smart Paws Academy team! While she’s still growing her expertise, Jay has completed several foundational dog training courses and brings a fresh, enthusiastic approach to every session. Her dedication to learning and natural talent for working with dogs make her an incredible asset. With a big heart and a keen eye for understanding canine behavior, Jay is committed to helping every dog and their family thrive.
